Today I will share some detail about how I currently view the chronology of Revelation chapter 6 to chapter 16 as I continue to work on a series of articles related to several Bible prophecy topics.
I presently think that the events described in Revelation 6:1 to Revelation 11:19 largely will occur in chronological order. I also think the events described in Revelation 12:1 to Revelation 16:21 largely will occur in chronological order. However, I do not think that Revelation 12:1 to Revelation 16:21 advances the chronology after Revelation 11:19.
I think the events described in Revelation 12:1 to Revelation 16:21 will cover different aspects of the general time period described in Revelation 6:1 to Revelation 11:19. I think that both segments conclude by covering the same event: the pouring of the seventh vial judgment after the sounding of the seventh trumpet.
- We can see the close parallel between one of the events following the sounding of the seventh trumpet described in Revelation 11:19 and the events following the pouring of the seventh vial judgment described in Revelation 16:17-21. The seventh trumpet and the seventh vial judgment both describe voices, lightning, thundering, an earthquake, and a plague of hailstones.

Rev 16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
Rev 16:20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
Rev 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

It is hard for me to go into further detail about how I see Revelation 6:1-11:19 and Revelation 12:1-16:21 beyond what I’ve said at this present time since I have yet to complete writing about topics which utilize verses from both segments. I hope to be able to elaborate more on this when I am ready to present more in detail…

I think you may be on to something here.
A characteristic of the seals and trumpets is that they don't cease when the next seal/trumpet begins. they grow in intensity.
Compare Rv 6.14 with Rv 16.20. Clearly they are describing the same event. Rv 6.14 has this in the 6th seal, the heavenly signs, whereas Rv 16.20 is the seventh plague. The heavenly signs don'r stop when the Day of the Lord begins, they simply grow in intensity.
The intensity difference (where the vial judgments are more much more intense than the trumpet judgments) is a major reason why I don't see the first six trumpets being the same events as the first six vial judgments.
